Nobody should underestimate the Mossad’s skills. The before and after satellite images from the first explosion show the site was almost completely destroyed. (NYDN) — Israeli officials said in a report Wednesday that a mysterious explosion at an Iranian nuclear facility two days ago was no accident. The eyebrow-raising remarks surfaced in a Times of London

An Israeli man and his pregnant wife who was in labor were attacked by Palestinian stone throwers this weekend as they were making their way to the delivery room, according to Arutz Sheva . This comes less than a month after 25-year-old Asher Palmer and his baby son Yonatan were killed when Palestinians threw a large rock through their windshield near Hebron, causing it to overturn, as The Blaze previously reported .

That same week, a 20-month-old girl was left bloodied after police said Arabs threw rocks at the car she was traveling in. In this weekend’s incident, Ariel Goldman of Pnei Kedem, a Jewish town near Bethlehem, told Arutz Sheva he and his wife were lucky to escape alive. It described the scene of an apparently pre-meditated lynching: Their ordeal began near Har Homa at 2:30 a.m., as they drove to Hadassah Ein Karem hospital in Jerusalem. Suddenly, they encountered a point in the road that had been blocked by large stones. As Goldman slowed the car, looking for a way around the trap, several Palestinian Authority terrorists jumped out and began to hurl rocks at the car. The attack turned into a game of cat and mouse, as Goldman looked for ways around the rocks and tried to keep moving, while the terrorists followed the car and continued to pelt it with heavy stones … The terrorists “had murder in their eyes,” Goldman said. After speeding away from the first “roadblock,” he encountered a second group of Palestinians on the outskirts of Jerusalem who also stoned his car. According to the Israel Defense Forces, Palestinian rock-throwing in the West Bank reached a new high in September: 498 incidents, 33 percent more than the monthly average in the past year. Arutz Sheva reports Goldman and his wife arrived safely at the hospital, where she gave birth to a baby boy on the Jewish day of atonement, Yom Kippur. Both the baby and mother are in good condition.

Comedian Jon Stewart embarked on a USO tour in Afghanistan over the summer. In an interview with “Newsweek,” he said there was nothing “not humbling” about it. Stewart also joked that the men and women risking their lives overseas needlessly thanked him as if he were “the real hero”: “It’s an incredible experience,” he says. “From the first one that I ever did until now, always the thing that strikes you the most is they’re thankful you’re there. It’s the most shocking part.” He shakes his head. “They’ll say to you, ‘Thank you so much.’ The guy who’s been clearing mines in Helmand province and has just lost a leg. ‘Hey, thank you so much.’ And you’re like, Really? You want to say, ‘You know, you’re right, I am the real hero here. Coming down to see you. You know that traffic on I-95? That Delaware Corridor? That is never not backed up.’” Read the full story here .

**Written by Doug Powers This one’s better if you first read a quote from the First Lady from back in June : “See, what you all need to know about the President you helped to elect is that when it comes to the people he meets, Barack has a memory like a steel trap,” For even more evidence to validate that claim, fast forward the tape to Sunday’s $35,800-per-couple Seattle-area fund raiser : The fund raiser was held in the 27,000-square foot, art-draped home of former Microsoft chief operating officer Jon Shirley. Obama deemed the art collection unforgettable. But he could not remember the name of his host. “I was saying to Mark that I wish I had time to just roam around because this is as beautiful a collection as I’ve ever seen. I want to thank Mark…” Obama said. A couple of guests said “Jon,” and the president quickly corrected himself. Mark. Jon. Whatever. To paraphrase Juliet : “What’s in a name? That which we call a wealthy donor by any other name smells as sweet.” It’s perfectly understandable though. Hey, you do seven fundraisers in four cities in two days and see if you can remember the name of every super-rich person who insists on throwing money at you. The only thing that’s really important is that Obama didn’t forget to take their cash with him when he left. Once again though, it doesn’t sound as if Obama aggressively promoted his plan for tax hikes on the rich while speaking to a bunch of wealthy supporters. Go figure. If rich Democrats were as eager to pay higher taxes as is reported , you’d think that trumpeting the Buffett Rule would not only be the overture to every Obama fundraising speech, but the encore as well. **Written by Doug Powers Twitter @ThePowersThatBe

When it Comes to Wealthy Campaign Donors, What’s in a Name?

Former libertarian vice presidential candidate Wayne Root has a great column out today criticizing President Obama for his lofty vantage point of the nation’s economy.  While the White House and TV pundits are talking about the possibility of a “double-dip” recession, many of us are still waiting for a rebound from the first: Obama finally got something right. Can you believe it? In a recent interview, Obama said he is confident we will not enter a double dip recession.  Brilliant Sherlock. That is because we never left the first dip. Only Obama could get something so right, because he is so wrong. While Obama, Fed Chief Bernanke, Treasury Secretary Geithner, and various other Obama economists, lackeys and socialist cabal members drone on about double dip, or not to double dip, common folks on Main Street understand that there has never been a recovery. The continuing Great Recession started on Bush’s watch in 2007 and has never ended. Like Herbert Hoover, another Republican President who panicked, and failing Capitalism 101, abandoned fiscal conservative principles, George W. Bush turned to big government to “save us.” And as usual, the more government tries to save us, the worse it gets. So Bush channeled Hoover, starting the bailouts, stimulus, and insane levels of spending and government intervention. Then, just when you thought it could not get any worse, along came Obama with his “Axis of Evil” game plan. What is the “Axis of Evil,” you ask? It is the principles to which Obama’s life is dedicated: Taxation, Regulation, Government Strangulation, Unionization and Litigation. Continue reading…

One of my earliest memories of revulsion against war came from seeing a photograph from the First World War when I was a teenager.
