Remember little Jesse Koczon –the New Jersey infant who was all in a tizzy because he wanted to be governor, but was too small? The Blaze reported his story last week. Well, days after sending a sweet tweet message to Jesse, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie named the little guy honorary governor for the day: Here is the initial video of Jesse, where he says–with, shall we say, animation–that he wants to be the governor of New Jersey (and as a bonus, he does an Arnold Schwarzenegger impression!): You can read the funny tweet Christie sent Jesse in response here : ”Don’t worry Jesse, people gave plenty of reasons why I couldn’t be Governor, though being too small wasn’t one of them.” Only one problem: Jesse wants to raise property taxes. Maybe Gov. Christie can teach Jesse a thing or two about fiscal matters before he takes Trenton by storm when he’s actually of age.

I saw Jesse Watters a couple of times during the conference, but didn’t have a chance to speak to him. And I’m just seeing this now, at any rate. From Red State, ” Fox reporter embarrasses Think Progress dolt at CPAC .” It’s really too good:

A Marine’s family needs your help

On September 15, 2010, in Uncategorized, by If Bush Did It

Marine Corporal Brian Downard, 24, died of testicular cancer on Monday. He leaves behind a seven-year-old son, Jesse. The American Legion reports that Downard’s mother, Brenda, who will now raise Jesse, needs help raising money for funeral and living expenses. From the Burn Pit: Funeral expenses are $14,942.55, a sum that Brenda simply does not have. Additionally, she now has Jesse to look after. This Corporal of Marines looked after his men on two deployments. While deployed, they were his brothers and sisters, as were all of us who served. And now, his son, and his mother need help. As Brian was our brother, so too does that make Jesse our nephew. We need to ensure that this fallen Marine’s final wish is granted, to be laid to rest where he wanted, that he might use that as his line of departure for his next deployment to the Elysian Fields where his grandparents and fallen warriors await. For it is there that the grass is truly greener than anywhere else. The American Legion is setting up a fundraiser for Brian. Give a little, give a lot, but give something if you can. Here is the link for Credit Card donations. 100 percent of all funds will be given to Brenda for the funeral, and any other espenses along the way. If you care to donate by check, you can send those to us at: Brian Downard Memorial Fund PO Box 361625 Indianapolis, IN 46236 Thank you to all who give, and to Brian, salute. Please do whatever you can do to support the families of the troops who serve us. God bless Corporal Downard and the Downard family.

Climahypocrite Jesse Jackson’s SUV Stolen

On September 4, 2010, in Uncategorized, by If Bush Did It

Seriously, are there any climate alarmists other than Ed Begley, Jr, who aren’t hypocrites? Oh, sorry, my bad, discussing climahypocrites is apparently a deflection from the real issue that climate change will kill us all if everyone else would just stop driving their Cadillac Escalades Add Jesse Jackson’s ride to prominent vehicles being stripped in Detroit. Scroll for updates… It’s Day 11 of the Blagojevich verdict watch. Buzz from Chicago is that the jury deliberations may drag into next week. Defense lawyers are now regretting that Jesse Jackson, Jr. (Senate Candidate No. 5) didn’t make it onto the stand, via Chicago Sun Times: Michael Ettinger, attorney for Robert Blagojevich, gave an emphatic “yes” when asked if he regretted that Jackson didn’t take the stand after Rod Blagojevich subpoenaed him. “I don’t know if I can at this point go into it. But it would have shown, you know, you’ve got the Jesse Jr. alleged bribery extortion. You’ve seen one side of it that I believe the evidence shows really didn’t occur. I believe the jury would have seen the other side of Jesse and the Indians if Jesse would have testified,” Ettinger said. Rod and Robert Blagojevich are accused of attempting to go through Indian fund-raiser Raghu Nayak to extract a campaign contribution from Jackson. Robert Blagojevich testified that Nayak in October of 2008 approached him offering $6 million in fund-raising for his brother if the then-governor named Jackson to the Senate seat then held by Barack Obama. Robert Blagojevich testified he shut down the offer. Months later though, Rod Blagojevich tells his brother in a recorded phone call he wants to “elevate” Jackson and asks his brother to meet with Nayak and to talk about “tangible” support up front. His brother set up a meeting with Nayak but testified he never intended on making any quid pro quo offer. “We were counting on Jesse Jr. being called,” Ettinger said. “Depending on what he said, I would have called Nayak.” Why has Jackson Jr. escaped prosecution? Clarice Feldman at The American Thinker and John Kass at the Chicago Tribune aren’t the only ones who want to know. As I mentioned the other day, Jackson will be on the hot seat after the Blago verdict comes down. The House ethics panel has suspended its probe of his actions into the Senate trading scam until after the trial ends. The Summer of Corruption rolls on into the fall… *** Update: Jury wants “clarification” on a question, via Chicago Cooperative News . Meeting scheduled this afternoon. Update …The jury is deadlocked and cannot reach agreement on “any given count.” The Chicago Tribune reports: U.S. District Judge James Zagel, reading from a note from jurors, said they had made “a reasonable attempt” after deliberating 11 days and had done so “without rancor.” The jury indicated it wanted to know what happens if it cannot agree on a unanimous decision on every count. The panel had matched up specific acts in the case to individual counts and was unclear on what to do next, the note said. “What is the next logical step?” the jury asked in its note. Zagel said in court that he needs further clarification from the jury before deciding the next step.
