See Palin’s comments on Facebook, ” Cannibals in GOP Establishment Employ Tactics of the Left ” (via Memeorandum ): We have witnessed something very disturbing this week. The Republican establishment which fought Ronald Reagan in the 1970s and which continues to fight the grassroots Tea Party movement today has adopted the tactics of the left in using the media and the politics of personal destruction to attack an opponent. We will look back on this week and realize that something changed. I have given numerous interviews wherein I espoused the benefits of thorough vetting during aggressive contested primary elections, but this week’s tactics aren’t what I meant. Those who claim allegiance to Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment should stop and think about where we are today. Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater, the fathers of the modern conservative movement, would be ashamed of us in this primary. Let me make clear that I have no problem with the routine rough and tumble of a heated campaign. As I said at the first Tea Party convention two years ago, I am in favor of contested primaries and healthy, pointed debate. They help focus candidates and the electorate. I have fought in tough and heated contested primaries myself. But what we have seen in Florida this week is beyond the pale. It was unprecedented in GOP primaries. I’ve seen it before – heck, I lived it before – but not in a GOP primary race. I am sadly too familiar with these tactics because they were used against the GOP ticket in 2008. The left seeks to single someone out and destroy his or her record and reputation and family using the media as a channel to dump handpicked and half-baked campaign opposition research on the public. The difference in 2008 was that I was largely unknown to the American public, so they had no way of differentiating between the lies and the truth. All of it came at them at once as “facts” about me. But Newt Gingrich is known to us – both the good and the bad. More at the link . And from George Moneo, at
Photo credit: ProtestShooter, from last year’s March for Life celebration Today marks the 39th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. As I note every year, it has become an annual ritual to watch the national media and liberal commentariat strain to ignore or marginalize the burgeoning movement of increasingly young and minority activists taking to the street to stand up for the unborn. If you’re in D.C., it’s not too late to join. Schedule of events and maps are here . March for Life rallies will also take place at state capitols across the country and thousands gathered this weekend. You can also tune in online to the Pro Life Con gathering taking place all day. House Speaker John Boehner will be a featured speaker this afternoon. Danielle Bean explains why she marches: The young people at the annual March for Life assert the unpopular truth that women deserve better than abortion, and instead offer women real choices: genuine alternatives to the harm that abortions cause. When a woman decides that her best “choice” is the destruction of innocent human life growing within her, we have failed her. The government, the community, the church, and we – her friends, neighbors, co-workers, brothers, and sisters – have failed her. Young pro-lifers are determined not to fail women. They know that abortion is a “choice” that ends a human life, stops a heartbeat, and denies a defenseless human being the right to live. They know that the “pro-choice” idea that abortion has no moral, emotional, or psychological consequences is a lie – a lie that women pay for, and a lie that denies every one of us the right to make informed decisions about our own bodies. Everywhere I look at this year’s March for Life, I see young people who reject the lies of previous generations, seek the truth, and stand up as a voice for women and the unborn. I am encouraged as I march alongside these young prolifers and proud that some of my own children are among them. Legalized abortion is a tragic part of our nation’s history, but I see the future here in Washington, D.C. today. And you know what? The kids are all right. Yalies march for life: Over two dozen Yalies will march in Washington, D.C. today along with thousands of pro-life supporters in protest of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision which ruled that the Constitution protects abortion rights. As part of the 39th annual March for Life, 15 undergraduate members of Choose Life at Yale and 11 members of the Yale Divinity School’s Right to Life Fellowship will march from the National Mall to the steps of the Supreme Court in an event that has drawn over 200,000 people in past years. Students attending the march said the annual event, which falls on the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, re-energizes them to promote their pro-life views, which are not widely held on Yale’s campus. “It’s an uphill battle when you’re a smaller group and you’re unpopular on campus,” Eduardo Andino ’13, CLAY president, said. “When you have a conscience that tells you that you’re fighting for something as precious as human life, it makes it much easier to continue.” Follow Jill Stanek and support Live Action Films today and every day. *** Side note: Sen. Rand Paul tweeted this morning that he would be speaking to the March for Life rally in D.C. Today I’ll speak to the March for Life in DC. A nation cannot long endure w/o respect for the right to Life. Our Liberty depends on it . #ky But his press secretary tweeted this morning that Sen. Paul was detained by TSA in Nashville . Daily Caller reports: “Just got a call from @senrandpaul,” Bagley tweeted at about 10 a.m. on Monday. “He’s currently being detained by TSA in Nashville.” Bagley hasn’t immediately responded to The Daily Caller’s request for comment for more details. Texas Congressman and current Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul – Sen. Rand Paul’s father – placed a post on Facebook about the news as well. “My son Rand is currently being detained by the TSA at the Nashville Airport,” Ron Paul posted. “I’ll share more details as the situation unfolds.” Sen. Rand Paul’s Facebook page has a post about the incident too. “Senator Paul is being detained at the Nashville Airport by the TSA,” Sen. Rand Paul’s Facebook post reads. “We will update you as the situation develops.” Here’s the follow-up on Sen. Paul’s detention. *** Occupiers crashed a pro-life gathering this weekend. Classy as ever. *** Boehner’s address to March for Life here courtesy of LifeNews.com. Rick Santorum’s fight for life , WSJ op-ed today.

The March for Life 2012
Zilla put the call out for conservatives to stand against evil, and a number of folks have answered the call, joining Zilla’s honor roll of moral right . I’ve been off the grid, so I’m just now reading all the responses. Ladd Ehlinger responded at his blog with an entry, and I read that first and was moved to write without delay. See ” When Flame Wars Spill Offline: Conservative Media Should Stand Up .” And my comments there: Ladd, we’ve engaged enough times by Twitter that I certainly consider you a friend. The battle is of one big piece. The collectivists go by many names, with the Democrat Party being the most familiar. From there you can go on down to real Marxist-Leninists, the folks so closely tied to the party in power today. Values-wise, they’re all the same. Perhaps there are degrees, but it’s the obliteration of the individual vis-a-vis the state that’s the result. I’m going do a roundup of all the support I’ve received. I can’t begin to thank you all enough. I’ve been on a high all day and I haven’t come down yet. That strength from conservative solidarity is unconquerable, and I hope we sustain it! The progressives mock and ridicule the notion of secular collectivism, but when I argue that the left’s attacks on truth and honesty are “satanic,” that’s the referential understanding. Marxism is a secular religion. It is a belief system which seeks a totalizing dominion over truth and over those who claim a truth based on universal right. According to Leonidas Donskis, in Forms of Hatred: The Troubled Imagination in Modern Philosophy and Literature : A world religion, a secular belief system, and a rival civilization, Marxism came into existence as a false secularization of consciousness. Marxism has always rested on a sort of secular demonology, splitting humanity into warring groups and demonizing what it took as agents of exploitation and social evil. As a kind of secular Church, Marxism succeeded, in a historically unprecedented way, in satisfying the ideological, political, and psychological needs of marginalized and alienated intellectuals scattered around the world. It became the first secular Umma of intellectuals. Moreover, it provided its adherents, those secularly religious radicals and doctrinaires, with a sense of pride — after all, Marxism made intellectuals a major force in history and a presence in all societies, Marxist and non-Marxist alike — and also with a spiritual fatherland. Marxism designed the revolutionary-ascetic moral culture, which has always been at odds with all other modern systems of moralization, especially with the liberal and nationalist moral cultures. Linkmaster Smith, at The Other McCain , responds to developments with a version of this, ” They Truly Hate Liberty .” But more formally is Lisa Graas, ” Is American Power Blog Under Attack From Satan? ” Both warn that conservatives, in fighting evil, must stay true to God. Conservatives must live good and decently, for then they will have even more strength to carry them forward. Here is my response to Lisa Graas : Thanks Lisa. Your advice is welcomed. I live by Him in my actions. None of us are perfect, but I never waver from the truth in my dealings with people, I never bear false witness. I can thus claim a moral position that my opponents repeatedly have made frightening haste to abandon. At my blog I linked the series of workplace attacks I’ve endured, with a record there of the libelous allegations made against me. Even were these normal political and ideological differences, one must beware the forces of evil lurking about in all the lies. This is what I believe. And in that I believe in God, in that He would have me stand for truth and against the lies. And more, in that all politics for me is moral, I do good by Him if I push ahead for a political vision of goodness and right. Sometimes, I’m told, I might use more care to stay on the side of right. So, I’m working on it. I succumb to emotion at times. But in faith I find strength, for no one should be subject to these campaigns of destruction. Those endlessly and remorselessly working against me are secular demons who live not by His holiness, but by the opposite that attempts to pull the Christian warriors asunder. Thanks again. I will be updating and adding new posts — with links to others blogging on this— in appreciation for all the support. Please head over to Zilla’s if you haven’t already. She’ll add your link to the honor roll.
From Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, at American Thinker . And fro Pamela’s introduction at Atlas Shrugs : Please read the rebuttal that Robert Spencer and I wrote in response to the scurrilous Norway blood libel made against us by media shills and Islamic supremacists. We submitted our piece to publications that damned us and others — the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Washington Times, the New York Post, National Review, the American Spectator, the London Spectator, the Guardian, and the Wall Street Journal. Nyet. The notorious Guardian, the New York Times, and the Washington Post have published any number of articles smearing us, but would sooner strap on a homicide bomb than let us challenge their lies. Allow me to extend my deep thanks to the one fine and decent editor who had the integrity to run it, Thomas Lifson of the singular American Thinker.

Norway, Free Speech, and the Counter-Jihad
-By Warner Todd Huston What’s the best way to counter what you think are the lies coming from your opponents? Is it to make up lies of your own? Apparently MoveOn.org thinks so. On June 9, MoveOn admitted using lies, subterfuge and fraud to “counter” what they maintain is the wrong-headed thinking of Fox News. I

This isn’t news to me, although I’m glad that a growing number of bloggers and citizen journalists are paying attention. The Los Angeles ANSWER organizers held their annual march in Hollywood on Saturday, March 19th. I had my taxes done that day and missed it, but veteran protest photographer Ringo was on the scene, and he reports: ” Anti-War Demonstration, Hollywood, CA – March 19th, 2011 .” I’ve been focused lately on Israel and the rising tide of global anti-Semitism, and recall the ANSWER folks are at the forefront of the campaign for a new Jewish Holocaust. Naturally, the “push-the-Jews-to-the-sea” crowd was well represented in Hollywood. I’ll have more on this in continuing coverage here. Meanwhile, Rebel Pundit has an excellent report from the event in Chicago on March 19th: ” Exclusive: Chicago Media Covers Up Socialist Revolution Extravaganza!! ” (also at Breitbart and Memeorandum ). After arriving at the protest, we began to notice a trend in the message of the day. The message was transitioning back and fourth between ‘Anti-War, and ending the occupation of Iraq’, to a ‘blatantly obvious and proud Communist/Socialist revolutionary’ message. Threats of taking to the streets, with directives to become ungovernable and to mimic the revolutions spreading across the Middle East and North Africa were prominent in the speeches, most of which were given by radical left wing socialist activists and organizers. There was clearly no intent on anyone’s behalf at the rally to cover up their radical views. However, in each case of the local mainstream media coverage, (CBS 2 News, NBC 5 News and ABC 7 News) it appears there may have been a deliberate intent to conceal this prominent message, that was delivered loud and clear by the protesters and speakers, or perhaps they decided to just simply ignore it, hoping it wouldn’t be noticed. In ABC 7 Eyewitness News’s coverage, they didn’t even mention the words; socialist, communist, or revolution once. However our footage reveals this was a prominent and consistent theme present during the entire march, and to no one’s surprise, considering the radical ties of those who organized it. Rebel Pundit argues for a media cover-up of the revolutionary agenda, but that’s pretty much standard operating procedure. Some of the first days of the Wisconsin budget protests saw the exact same comparisons between the U.S. and the Middle East (Mubarak), although it was mostly bloggers that brought the news to the wider audience. Last year’s pro-immigration march in Phoenix was dominated by communists calling for revolution and the destruction of nation-state borders. I specifically highlighted mainstream coverage of the march at the Arizona Republic and the Los Angeles Times . They treated the event, with dishonest reports and photos of children protesters, etc., as a “civil rights” march. Meanwhile, we’ve got leftists who continue to insist that revolutionary agitation — not to mention the left’s global anti-Israel campaign of annihilation — is “imaginary” and the product of a “persecution” complex. It’s thus all around us, the lies and subterfuge relentlessly grinding away at the basic fabric of society, warping young minds with anti-American, pro-Holocaust propaganda. Add on top of this the growing black bloc movement of anarchist violence, which despite the “anarchist” label is really about state destruction to prepare for the communist takeover , and folks can get a pretty good picture of the current revolutionary agenda on today’s progressive left. ‘Antiwar’ Protesters Call for Revolution in U.S. — Nationwide ANSWER Rallies Ignored by Mainstream Media Organizations
From Michael Stickings at The Reaction, ” Fuck You, Peter King, You Bigoted Piece of Anti-Muslim Shit ” (on Twitter ). I’ve never really been puritanical about profanity, but what is it with progressives? Dolt-douche Thers at Whisky Fire extols the virtues the f-ety f-word, and he’d rather have that than civility — or he’d rather have some effin’ profanity over the alleged effin’ conservative liars he’s been rambling about . Funny thing is, though, the lies of recent days have been the exclusive domain of the left, first with the Madison protests and yesterday with Keith “Crybaby” Ellison’s boo-hoo testimony on Capitol Hill. It turns out that Ellison’s whiny blather about Mohammed Salman Hamdani was an effin’ fat one: ” Grotesque Liar Keith Ellison’s Crocodile Tears Over Made-Up Tale .” I doubt the makes the slightest difference to progressives like Michael Sticking and Thers. They’ll hurl the f-ety f-word at effin’ conservatives for any effin’ reason. Effin’ dirtbags.
