In his appearance for Connecticut Senate candidate Dick Blumenthal last night, President Obama said , during his critique of Republican Linda McMahon, “At this moment, we are facing challenges we haven’t seen since the Great Depression.” Indeed we are, Mr. President, after nearly two years of your policies, after your stimulus, and after many months of you insisting that the economy is heading in the right direction. I had said that the biopic of Barack Obama will end with his inauguration, a line recalled by some after seeing the German musical about Obama. Republican former wrestling executive Linda McMahon trails Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, the Democrat, 50 – 40 percent in the U.S. Senate race, according to a Quinnipiac University poll of registered voters released today. That's down from a 54 – 37 percent Blumenthal lead July 16.
